CompTIA Network+ Certification

If students are pursuing a professional career in networking, the CompTIA Network+ certification is an excellent first step and launch pad into multiple IT-related career paths. Network+ ensures that students have the knowledge and skills to design and implement functional networks, configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices, use devices such as switches and routers to segment network traffic, troubleshoot network problems, and support the creation of virtualized networks.

Certification Prerequisites

None, but we highly recommend students have:

  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • 9 to 12 months of networking experience

Required Exam(s)

N10-007 ($302 Exam Fee. Exam can be taken at Pearson VUE.)

CompTIA® Network+ (N10-007)

Recertification

Students can keep their certification up to date with CompTIA’s Continuing Education (CE) program. It’s designed to be a continued validation of their expertise and a tool to expand their skillset.

Students can participate in a number of activities and training programs, including higher certifications, to renew their CompTIA Network+ certification. Complete CertMaster CE, an online, self-paced CE course, or collect at least 20 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in three years, upload them to their certification account, and Network+ will automatically renew.
